Actually probably the best antivirus program on the market is free and that is AVG antivirus. Also, spybot search and destroy will get rid of any registry errors and addware and that is free also. Good luck

kaspersky. i think the entire internet security suite is 60 dollars. this is the best virus protection i have even seen tried norton, mccafee, pctrillian avg is algo very good, even the free version but so far my favorite has been kaspersky. it doesn't make the system slow and it has hourly updates. really recommend it!

I had the same problem. i tried a bunch of free adware programs but eventually had to buy one. I went with the NoAdware program. I tried their free trial and then ended up getting it.
